Description
Telnet Communications is now able to provide high speed access using wireless technology. This will allow customers who work or reside within our wireless coverage area to receive affordable, reliable high speed internet access. This technology will allow customers who were previously unable to obtain high speed using traditional methods (DSL or Cable) to connect to our high speed broadband network.
How it Works
Service is provided by installing a wireless radio (sometimes referred to as wireless modem) on the outside of the customers premise. The radio is pointed towards our nearest wireless access point (tower). Customers require clear line of sight to our access point . Without line of sight, signals cannot be received. Signals will not travel through trees, hills, or other buildings. In most cases, acquiring line of sight can be as easy as installing the wireless radio on top of an existing TV antenna tower or a high point on the customers roof. In some cases customers may be required to purchase a small tripod-like tower that will be installed on their roof in order to clear obstructions.
Once the radio is installed an Ethernet cable is run from the radio into the customer's premise. The customer connects their computer to this cable.

Q. What speed is the service?
A. Service is up to 25 times faster than dialup internet.
Q. How long does it take to install? How fast can I get an installation appointment?
A. Installation times very depending on complexity. Most installations take 1.5 hours. Installation appointments are arranged on a first-come, first-served basis, and are usually available within in 5 business days.
Q. Can I use the service with more than one computer? What about wireless inside my house/business?
A. Absolutely, you will require a small Ethernet hub or switch. To connect additional computers via wireless, you will need a wireless router or access point. Telnet can provide this equipment for a nominal extra charge
Q. Can I run servers on this service?
A. Small mail or web servers are permitted with some limitations. File sharing servers are prohibited (see AUP)
Q. Can I run voice over IP (VoIP) on this service?
